Approved Continuing Education Providers

Certification Program Providers: The Certification Board of Governors (CBG) welcomes all government agencies, colleges, universities training organizations and others worldwide to educate to the CBG's recommended standards of best practices in international trade.

IIEI Approved Continuing Education Providers (ACEPs)

The Certification Board of Governors (CBG) recommended the requirement that all individuals holding IIEI certification must complete Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to maintain certification. Following their recommendation, all persons holding IIEI must demonstrate through continuing education his/her maintenance of knowledge supporting certification. The amount of CEUs required varies by certification as does the time duration during which an individual has to complete them.

As examples, the Certified US Export Compliance Officer® Program requires completion of 10 CEUs to maintain qualification. That training must be completed every 12 months from the date the individual was initially determined to be certified.

A person holding the Certified International Trade Logistics Specialistis required to earn 5 CEUs within five years of earning certification to be current and remain certified..
