BIOGRAPHY – Frederique Duranton  (As of January 20, 2006)

Frederique Duranton is a Senior Director and Industry Manager, International Trade for the American Conference Institute, a unique organization devoted to providing the business intelligence that senior decision-makers need to respond to challenges both here in the US and around the world. As Industry Manager, Frederique monitors trends and developments in all areas of global trade & compliance, customs, export controls, global supply chain & finance, international law and public policy, with a view to providing information on the leading edge.

Frederique Duranton has been in the International Trade field for all of her career and as far back as 1986. A sought after expert on the subject of International Trade, Ms. Duranton has produced critically acclaimed events in the US and Canada, in many areas including: China Trade Compliance, Export Controls, Technology Transfers, Import Compliance, Anti-Corruption, Transfer Pricing, Vendor Managed Inventory, Export Finance, Activity-Based Costing for Logistics and Global Customs Compliance. In her work, she has developed strong partnerships with key industry leaders as well as professional associations and publications,  such as the  Organization of Women in International Trade, International Compliance Professionals Association, US-China Chamber of Commerce, Transparency International, TRACE, Export Practitioner, Journal of Commerce, American Shipper Magazine, Washington Tariff & Trade Letter, the Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters, Canadian Purchasing Management Association, and Canadian Association of Logistics Management.

Prior to managing the International Trade portfolio at ACI, Ms Duranton managed all international purchasing activities including Asian product design and supply chain management as an Import Manager for a European Trading Company. Prior to that, she managed international payments for TNT Express France and also acted as the Import/Export Manager.

Frederique Duranton has extensive experience working with Europe, South-East Asia and The Middle-East. She is bilingual in French and English, earned her MBA in International Business in San Francisco and has another Master in International Business with honors from the “Ecole Superieure du Commerce Exterieur” – ESCE – the highest ranked import/export school in France. She lives with her husband and daughter in San Francisco, California.
