Certification Standards: Since the IIEI Certification Advisory Board (CBG) was founded, the knowledge requirements have evolved significantly. However, the basic scientific process for setting and maintaining the standards remains the same. It involves having volunteer panels of experts from industry, academia and governments provide guidance on the knowledge content and the proficiency standards. Careful attention is focused on the validity and reliability of each of the testing instruments developed. This insures that the examinations accurately measure the knowledge and proficiency requirements set forth by the International Trade Standards Committee. A person holding any international trade certification will have satisfactorily passed an appropriate examination to demonstrate mastery of knowledge requirements and code of ethics as set forth by the IIEI Certification Advisory Board.
